The agreement
These terms govern your use of the Water Science Platform. By creating an account, subscribing, or simply reading these pages, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may bind it.
Your account
One account, one person. Credentials are not to be shared — a shared login defeats every entitlement check the platform makes and makes an audit log meaningless. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised. Tell us promptly if it has.
Subscriptions and payment
Plans, their prices and what each includes are set out on the plans page, and that page governs. Subscriptions renew for the same term unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices may change; a change takes effect at your next renewal and never mid-term. A payment we cannot collect suspends access to paid material until it is settled — it does not delete your account or your saved work.
What you may do with the content
A subscription buys you access, not ownership. You may read, download and use our documents for your own professional work, including internally within the organisation that holds the subscription. You may quote us with attribution.
You may not republish our documents, resell them, post them to a public file-sharing site, or use them to train a machine-learning model. Download limits exist, and automated bulk downloading is a breach of these terms whatever the limit says.
What you contribute
Anything you post — a comment, a question, an uploaded file — remains yours. You give us the right to store it, display it where you intended it to appear, and back it up. You confirm you have the right to post it, and that it is not somebody else's copyrighted material.
We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and we will say why when we do.
The marketplace
Product listings describe equipment supplied by manufacturers and distributors. Specifications come from them. A listing is an invitation to enquire, not an offer of sale; a contract of sale is between you and the supplier, on their terms, and this platform is not a party to it.
Engineering content is not engineering advice
Our documents, calculators and selection tools are reference material, prepared carefully and offered in good faith. They are not a substitute for a qualified engineer's judgement on a specific site. Nothing here should be the sole basis for a design, a procurement decision, or anything with a safety implication. Verify against the manufacturer's current documentation and the local codes that apply to you.
Availability
We aim to keep the platform running, and we will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for a loss arising from an outage.
Ending it
You may close your account at any time from your account settings; a cancellation stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the term you paid for. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and where the breach is not deliberate we will ask you to fix it first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud — and nothing here is intended to remove a right you have under a consumer law that applies to you.
Changes to these terms
We will post a changed version on this page with its date. A material change takes effect thirty days after it is posted, so that you have time to read it and, if you disagree, to cancel before it applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Yemen, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
