First power-up, network configuration and the alarm thresholds the controller ships with. Enough to get a unit onto the network and reporting; the full configuration reference is a separate document.
First power-up
The controller boots into a configuration mode until a duty profile is committed. It will not command an output in this state, which is deliberate — an unconfigured controller that ran pumps on its defaults would be considerably more dangerous than one that does nothing.
Network configuration
Set a static address on the control network. DHCP is supported and should not be used for a station controller: a lease change during a comms outage means the telemetry reconnects to nothing, and the failure looks like a dead controller rather than a moved address.
Default alarm thresholds
The shipped thresholds are deliberately wide, so that a commissioning engineer sees real excursions rather than a wall of noise. Narrow them once a week of normal operation has established what normal is at that station.
